Change Is Coming To Cecomp Gauges

We are making some changes to our Cecomp Pressure Gauge product lines. Customers should be converted as soon as possible, and the last day to purchase the affected products will be April 1st, 2024. The purpose is to make the product lines more consistent and improve production efficiency. By doing this we should be able to delay any price increases for 2024.

  1. DPG1000B, F4B, DPG1000AD, F4AD  4-digit only:
4-digit 3000PSIG & 5000PSIG ranges will be discontinued. These models will only be offered with the 3-1/2-digit display in ranges up to 2000 (1999).
Use the F16B, F16BN, F16AD, and F16ADN series as direct replacements.
  2. DPG1000B, F4B, DPG1000AD, F4AD, DPG1000L, F4L, DPG1000DR, and F4DR, DPG2000B (non -D4) with -HA option:
The -HA (high accuracy) option will be discontinued for these models. The potentiometer-based design makes them more labor intensive to calibrate in production. High accuracy calibration is better done with our microprocessor-based gauges.
    Use F16B, F16BN, F16AD, and F16ADN, F16L or F16LSC, F16LN or F16LSCN, F16DR, F16DRN, or DPG2000B-D4 as direct replacements.
  3. DPG1000L, F4L, DPG1000DR, and F4DR +/- ranges only:
Transmitters with bipolar (+/-) vacuum/pressure ranges will be discontinued for these models. The potentiometer-based design makes them more labor intensive to calibrate in production. Calibration of the display and the output is better done with our microprocessor-based gauges.
    Use F16L or F16LSC, F16LN or F16LSCN, F16DR, F16DRN as direct replacements.

New Multi Functional Transmitters and Splitters

New Thermocouple Converter Splitters

 APD 41390 - APD 41391 - APD 41393

The new APD 4139X series solves problems where one thermocouple must be connected to two devices and/or with mismatches between thermocouple types and measuring devices. A thermocouple can be converted to two simulated thermocouple outputs, two DC process outputs, or one of each. This makes it useful to convert, split, isolate, and transmit any thermocouple input for measurement, data recording, and validation.

Both outputs correspond to the input temperature range. Automatic cold junction compensation is standard. When ordered with a mA output, it can be selectively wired for sinking or sourcing allowing use with a powered or unpowered milliamp device.

Full 4-way galvanic isolation make this module useful for ground loop elimination, common mode signal rejection, and noise pickup reduction

New All In One Universal Temperature Transmitter

APD 8000

API’s new high accuracy APD 8000 is our most versatile signal conditioner yet. The unit can be configured for one of many different input types - thermocouple, RTD, thermistor DC, or potentiometer - and converts it to an optically isolated DC voltage or current output. It can be set up and calibrated using onboard switches and push-buttons without the need for a computer or special programmer.

The APD 8000 is perfect for applications where one device needs to cover any number of I/O types. Microprocessor-based linearization and a low noise 18-bit analog output offer ±0.1% accuracy. Exclusive features include an output test function and a variable-brightness Loop-Tracker® LED to indicate the input signal level. Also standard are sink/source output capability, 1200 VRMS full optical isolation, fast shipping and a lifetime warranty.

Matt Joseph, a veteran restorer and a noted author of hundreds of articles and books, is using our DPG1000B gauge on his Soda Blasting machine.

"When I need the highest order of digital accuracy for measuring air pressure, I rely on my Cecomp digital pressure gauge. Analog measurement may be fine for a "quick glance" check of non-critical applications, but when precision is an issue, great digital gauges easily justify their cost."
